SUBVENTIONS IN BRITAIN. BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH.—COPYRIGHT. ‘SYDNEY SDN SPECIAL CABLE. LONDON, July 21. Tho report of the British Olympic Committee states that it has provided the Athletic Association with £I2OO, comprising £SOO for novice trials, with a view to discovering latent talent, and £7OO to assist affiliated clubs. Besides this it has granted the Swimming Association £3OO for bolding time tests in five districts. It has also supplemented tho fund of tho Cyclists’ Union for sending representatives to Berlin in August. It is intended to make a further appeal for funds.
