(From‘Our Own Correspondent.) July 18 A poundkeeper has at length been anpointod. This will bo good news to a great many people to whom the straying of cattle and horses has been a nuisance. Air. Pitman, brother to the baths caretaker, is the new official. Tho council has decided to hire the steam roller from tho Eltham County, for the purpose of rolling, tho new metal lately spread in Rata Street. Tho school social in tho Parish Hall was not too well attended on Thursday evening. The Rifle Club members had a club match on Thursday afternoon between two' teams of beginners under the captaincy of Riflemen Fowler and Cox. The following scores were made; = 300 500 Tl.
