OVERDOSE OF WORM TABLETS.

INVERCARGILL, July 13.. Tho inquest on Edith Miller, a child who died after eating a quantity of Keating’s worm tablets, was resumed on Saturday before Mr. Cruickshank, S.M., coroner. Evidence was given by the child’s mother to the effect that she had instructed the nurse who was attending her to some worm tablets, and a box was procured. There wore no directions on the box. When witness received it, she gave the child a tablet at intervals and left the box on the dresser in her room. Later on the child, without her knowledge, obtained some of its contents. The child did not complain of any pain next day, but early next morning she became fearfully cold and was very ill, and Dr. Ewart was called in. ; He prescribed for the child, and a temporary recovery took place, but a relapse occurred and the child died. The coroner found that the child died from, inadvertently taking an overdose of Keating’s worm tablets, and subsequent exposure.
