NATIONAL PARK BOARD.

A meeting of tho National Park Board was held at New’ Plymouth today, Mr. G. H. Bullard presiding. There were also presents Messrs. 0. Goodson, J. R. Hill, 'W. Rogers, W. A. Collis, F. W. Wilkie, and H. Stocker (secretary). An apology’ was received from Mr. H. Kitchingman (Opunake). The Opunake Town Board notified that Mr. H. Kitchingman, of Bahotu, had been appointed its representative on tho board; the Hawera County Council, Hr. ,F. W. Wilkie; Now Plymouth Borough Council, Mr. W. A. Collis; Stratford Borough Council, Mr, K. M'K. Morison; Taranaki County Council, Mr. J. R. Hill; Hawera Borough Council, Mr. C. Goodson; Stratford County Council, Mr. W. Rogers, The Tourist Department notified that 'Messrs. :S. Percy* Smith and R. Dingle hand been ro-appointpd members of the board for the trienninm. The Tourist Department notified that n voucher for £IBO had been passed for payment subject to the money 'being allocated as follows: —North Egmont Committee, £65; South, £65; East, £SO. The Department also notified that a voucher for £2O had been passed for payment for work on the Boll’s Palls track, this being tho balance of Government subsidy. The Chairman and Mr. Hill wore appointed to inspect the board’s reserves from time to time. Tim Post Office Department notified a deficiency on the Tahurangi and Rahiri telephone offices of £3 5s lid, the subsidy dne by the board towards this deficit being £1 18s. The deficiency on tho Dawson Falls telephone. office was £6 14s, tho hoard’s subsidy towards this deficit being £3 7s. Mr. H. Graham, custodian of tho Dawson's Palls House, forwarded his resignation as from. June 1. Messrs. Goodsdli and Wilkie wore appointed tho board’s delegates to manage tho South (Dawson’s Falls) House. Mr. C. H, Burgess was appointed to succeed Mr. M. Fraser (resigned) as one of the guarantors’ representatives on the North Egmont Committee.
