EMPIRE PICTURE PALACE.

To-night at the Empire Picture Palace the great American Biografth triumph, “The Massacre,” will be screened- for the first time, in conjunction with an “all new” programme. “The Massacre” is a film which comes along with a tremendous reputation, having caused quite a sensation wherever shown. Over 2000 ft. in length, this picture is said to he ahead of anything before produced by the famous Biograph Company, and that speaks volumes. The supporting films are above the average, and include such dramas as “The Lady of Shalott,” from Tennyson’s poem, “The Girl in the Grovo” (Thanhouser), and “His Western Way” (Lubin). Scenic and topical items are “Scenes on board H.M.S. New Zealand” (the latest series), “The Ravine of the River Axare, near Meiringen, Switzerland,” and “The Bernivia Railway.’’.The usual quartette of comics are also included. THEATRE ROYAL PICTURES. The current programme of films at the Theatre Royal, which was so favourably received by last night’s large audience, will be repeated again to-night for the last,time. To-morrow the usual change will be made, and the management promise something quite out of the ordinary. Tho star film pf the new series will bo a fascinating dramatic romance, gloriously coloured, entitled, “The Money Lender,” a drama portrayed with unflinching realism in 3560 feet of film.
