A PROTEST AT FBANKTONI Per Press Association. HAMILTON, April 29. The Frankton householders refused last night to elect a school ’committee and left the schoolhouse in a body, as , a protest against the action of the Auckland Education Board in so arranging the boundaries that half the township, including the main street, was taken into the Hamilton West district. KENT. At the Kent Road the chairman of the committee, Mr. J. R. Rowlands, presided over a fair attendance, Mr. Rowlands was re-elected chairman and secretary, with M’essrs. H. Lethbridge, G. M. Morecraft, C. Sonthcombe, NRundle, J. Batten and J. A. Batten forming the committee. 1 UPPER MANGQREI. No committee was elected for the Upper Maugorei School. LOWER MAN6OREI. Messrs. G. W. Herbert (chairman), E. Norman, G. W. Stanton, and Mcsdames Norman and Stanton were elected to represent Lower Maugorei. TOKO. At Toko, Messrs. Geo. Bain (chairman), G. E. Bocock (secretary), MGernhoefer, T. A. Lees, J. Kilpatrick, W. Pratt and A. Ferguson were elected. LINCOLN. Here Messrs. R. D. Barford (chairman), 0. M. Boldt (secretary), C. Owen, J. Henwood, G. Henwood, Mrs. G. Henwood, and Sirs. L. Brqadmore were appointed. OKATO. Messrs. J. Wooldridge (chairman), J, S Fox, S. A. Dailey, W. Clarke, W. G. Sheppard, T. C. Street, and D. Hickford were selected. N CAERE. At Ngaere, Messrs. X. Jones (chairman), A. E. Wickham (secretary), and Phillips, Truelove, Kenyon, Tecofskey and Hollard were appointed for the ensuing year, 1 TARIKI. At Tarikf there were nine householdnr&.present, and the following were appointed to the committee;—Messrs. Therkleson (chairman), Stephenson, Crossman, Courts, Blanchard, Gernhoefer and Rudkin, with Mrs. A. Jemison as secretary. KORU. Messrs. F. Aroa (chairman)., E. Looney, E. Rowell, Pi Fitzsimons and Sirs. Bishop were appointed. MIDHIRST. At Midhirst, Messrs. Win. Mountford (chairman), Geo. Smith, David Brown, J R. Shorter, Frank Carter, Wm. Hamblyn, and C. E. Scabright were elected to the committee.
