HERD TESTING.
STRATFORD AND MIDHIRST ASSOCIATIONS. The -monthly figures of the Stratford and Midhirst Cow-testihg Associations are now available, the summary of the former for the period ending April 16 being Highest herd average 27.47; lowest, 17.08; average association cow, 22.02; ten highest cows average, 39.22; lowest, 9.95; the best cow gave 46.62; worst, 4.65. The highest quantity of milk given by one cow was 1140185., which, at a test of 3.8, produced 43.321b5. butter-fat. The lowest quantity of milk given by one cow was 971bs, which, at a test of 4.8, produced 4.651b5. butter-fat. The. monthly summary of figures for the Midhirst Cow-testing Association, ending April 11, is as follows;—Highest herd average 33.77; lowest 13.40; average association cow, 24.81;' ten highest cows averaged 45.76; lowest 7.50. The best cow gave 52.87; worst 8.96. The highest quantity of milk given by one cow was H2slbs., which, at a, test of 4.7, produced 52.871b5. butterfat. The lowest quantity of milk giyen by one oow was 1201b5., which, at a test of 3.3 produced 3.961b5. butter-fat.
