DANGERS OF OVEREATING. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, April 28. An inquest was held at the morgue this afternoon on tho body of George Newton "Wilson, aged 43, who died suddenly yesterday. The evidence of Dr. M'Pherson disclosed that death had been catised by a curions mishap, Mrs. Wilson had deposed that deceased had an unusually big meal at midday on Sunday. The doctor found that the stomach, contained an enormous quantity of food, while upon opening tho larynx he found about a tablespoonful of the stomach'contents in it. Tho man had gone to sleep upon an overloaded stomach aqd brought up a mouthful of food, which had gone back into the air passages. Tho Coroner (Mr. C. C. Graham) returned a verdict of death from suffocation, as the result of vomit entering the air passages. A MADMAN’S CRIME. DUNEDIN, April 28. An inquest on the fatal fire a* Balolutha was commenced this afternoon before Mr. G. W. Wood, acting-coroner, and a jury of six. Constable .Harvey said that’ it was impossible to place evidence before the jury for a week, owing to Mrs. Littlewood’s serious condition. It was impossible for tbe police to show how the fire was caused, but it was surmised that deceased set fire to the house. He believed the body to be that of Inttlewood, but it was so charred that it was impossible to identify it. The incision found in the throat ran from left to right, but the neck was badly burnt, and it was impossible to trace the cut on the right side. The inquest was adjourned till May 6. Deceased and his wife appear to have been a most happy couple, wrapped up in their six-year-old child, and the sudden madness of deceased is surmised to have caused the tragedy.
