The damage is estimated at £1250. The suffragettes are suspected. Suffragettes attempted to hold meetings in. Hyde Park. The police had difficulty in protecting them from the fury of the mob. RETALIATION AT NOTTINGHAM. LONDON, April 28. Youths smashed all the windows of the suffragette offices at Nottingham, as a protest against the interruption of Mr Aoland’s meeting. MALE PRISONER RELEASED. (Received April 29, 10.5 a.m.) . LONDON, April 28. Franklin, a male suffragist, who was sentenced'to nine months’ imprisonment on March 9 for setting fire to a train, has been released. He was fed forcibly 114 times.
