MARCONI INQUIRY.
AN ALLEGATION DENIED. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. (Received April 15, 8.45 a.m.) LONDON, April 14. Giving evidence before the Marconi Inquiry Committee, Air. Godfrey Isaacs said that he had heard, through Mr. Hawkins and others, that Major Archer Shoe and Mr. Norton Griffiths, Al.P.’s, were associated with the Poulscn Syndicate in endeavouring to prevent the ratification of the Marconi contract. Major Archer Sheo telegraphed to the committee denying that hp had a financial interest in any wireless concern. (Received April 15, 1.45 p.m.) LONDON, April 14. Mr. Norton Griffiths, Unionist member for Wednesbury, denies that he was ever interested in the Poulsen system o~ that he spread rumours about Ministers or the contract. The whole »tory is pure invention.
