Payment beforehand was demanded, but was promised when tho work was done. It .was arranged that, the money should *be entrusted to Budhu. About a week later Dr. Clark toklSukhia that he was handing, the,, money to-Budhu, and added, “Do tho job to-night.” Witness accompanied Sukhia and Rambal to Budhakanjore’s house, i Another, man who Sukhia. found at. a bazaar joined them, and. Budhakanjoro handed Bambal a large knife. All Went to Dr. Clark’s bun-, galow. Dr. Clark arrived and removed a harking dog and left, While, Budhu remained outside. Rambal ejitored the house, but returned, saying that he was unable- to distinguish the mother from the daughter. Budhu pointed out the-mother’s hedj The. two who were not arrested carried a lamp, and Rambal and Sukhia stood behind a curtain near the daughter. Budhakanjoro took the lapip and the other man gave tho woman . a heavy cut. Directly she shrieked ho gave her another cut. She writhed and rolled over, and subsequently Rambal and Sukhia. clamoured fpr payment and w:ero referred, to Dr. Clark. .Witness., was unaware whether he was, paid, because he was arrested. The case has been adjourned until January 7.
