A London cablegram reports that-Mr. Joseph Edward Nathan, formerly of Wellington,-left estate valued at £IOO,685. He left £250 to Jewish charities in New Zealand.

Mr. Charles Zachariah; district manager and reserves, agent for the. Public Trustee in Taranaki; has received notice of his promotion to Wellington as district manager of the” Wellington branch, of the Public Trust Office. Air. E. Barnes, of Wanganui," succeeds MrZaohariah in, Taranaki.

Dr. James Hudson, of Tapawera, who was killed in a, motor-car accident on Monday, was formerly , district health officer for Nelson and Marlborough. Fie married a daughter of the late Rev. J. 0. Andrew, of Masterton. The deceased brother of Mr. W. B. Hudson, of the. New Zealand Government Life Insurance Department, Mr. G. V. Hudson, of the New Zealand Post and Telegraph Department, and Alias Hudson, of • Wellington. The late Air. Charles Hudson, at one time assistant general managerof railways in -New Zealand, was also a brother. ;
