OVERHEARD AT THE CORNER.
One cannot help overhearing snatches of 'conversation about, town. Some of them are humorous—some full of troubles. The following conversation took place between two women in the street a few days ago, and will interest many;— ‘•Often in the dead of night I would lay awake coughing—simply coughing. Almost every night I was kept awake. My good old home methods failed to cure me, and I couldn’t think what to do.” “Did you try Baxter’s Lung Preserver?” asked the other woman. “That’s just what I did do.
