NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW.
Intending exhibitors at the coming dairy show are reminded that entries close on Monday, 30th inst. Mr. W. T. Penny, secretary, calls special attention to the homo cookery section, which the Singer Sewing -Machine Co, are presenting a thirteen-guinea machine lor most points in cookery, preserves and pickles. In the horticultural and agricultural division special attention is directed to the champion class, best collection of apples, medal of the Royal Horticultural Society (England!, and £5 sterling; in the other fruit classes are considerable money prizes and valuable trophies. For potatoes the Royal Horticultural Society are also offering their medal. In field roots division farmers' attention will no doubt centre- on class 123, special class for shield presented by Messrs. Sutton and Sons, Reading. England, through Messrs. Barraud and Abiaham, Ltd., their local agents. Various other valuable trophies and money prizes are presented in the several classes for farmers. The public school gardens and natural history divisions will also encourage competition.
