ESTIMATES FOR THE COMING YEAR. The Estimates Committee of the New Plymouth Borough Council will report as follows to the ordinary mcnthly meeting of the council to bo hold on Monday evening next: That in anticipation of revenue an overdraft not exceeding £IO,OOO ho arranged for, at interest not to exceed 6 per cent. That tho Mayor and each of the Councillors be empowered to countersign cheques on the District Fund Account; that tho Mayor’s honorarium be fixed at £l5O for the ensuing year; that a road grader be purchased at an estimated cost of £100; that the salary of the borough engineer be increased to £275 per annum as from Ist Juno; that tile salary of tho electrical engineer bo increased to £3OO per annum ns from Ist June; that the following ho the estimated receipts and expenditure for the ensuing years:—• RECEIPTS.
