A FALSE DECLARATION. Per Press Association. . AUCKLAND, May 11. At the Police Court Henry B. Gorniley was charged with making a false declaration to tho Customs as to the value of greenstone from Sydney. An invoice produced showed the value to ho £27. It was ascertained that it was saleable for more money in Auckland. Gormley thereupon produced another invoice showing the value at £6l. He stated that the goods were sent to be sold on commission. The large invoice showed only the selling value. The ipagistratc imposed a fine of £SO, and fixed security for an appeal at £65.
