FIRES.

MOTOR-CAR AND SHED BURNED. Per Press Association PALMERSTON N., May 10. A motor-car shed owned by A. Schlagar caught fire this morning, and tho car, which was valued at £BOO, was completely destroyed. It had just been renovated at a cost of £IOO, and the owner was about to give it a trial. He started the engine and went inside for a coat. Returning, he found tho place in flames. It is thought the benzine ignited from the carburetter. Tho car was insured in the Dominion Office for £SOO. Another small car in tho shed was saved.
