Writing to a newspaper at Halifax, explaining his references to Canada in a recent letter lie sent to Mr. Taft, Mr. Roosevelt says he never favoured annexation of Canada, and he expresses tho hope that no ill fooling will result. He has always wished the two nations to live in harmony along their borders.
