Won by three-quarters of a length. Time, 2niin. 511-sec. Borough Handicap.—Ngutiruanui 1, Draft 2, East Wind 3. Also started: Muleteer, Strategist, Master Tupnhi, Awahou and Squireen. Won hy three parts of a length. Time, liuin 33sec. Tho Shorts.—Prosper 1, Lady Fran 2, Sweet Breeze 3. Also .started'; Park Tide, Princess Flo, Wai Hneromai, Retrieve, Kavelah, Crawford, Allaudale, AA’ai Rose, Sylvan Glade and Floss. Won by two lengths. Time, 1 min usee. ASHBURTON RACES. ASHBURTON, May 9. There was dull but fine weather for the races. Results;— Longbeiich Hack.—Stephanos 1, 'Wedding King 2, iiesione 3. Scratched; Mt, Victoria. Won by Half a length.
