THE DANGER OF WORMS.
Stomach and Intestinal Worms are one of the most common complaints throughout Australasia. Indigestion is a primary cause, or they may be produced by Constipation, or through the eating of tainted food or food improperly cooked. There is also the possibility of their introduction into the system in the form of cysts or eernis in fruit and meat, so that all classes of the community, irrespective of age, are liable to this complaint. It is not alone the irritation and annoyance caused by these parasitical animals that infest the stomach and bowels, but the more serious consequences which follow that must be kept in view. From the highly organised and sensitive parts which they occupy, Worms give rise to great constitutional derangements and produce a variety of symptoms, more particularly affecting the stomach and head. Many cases of Convulsions, Epilepsy, Hysteria, St. Vitus’ Dance, Melancholia, Nervous Diseases, and even Insanity, have resulted from this cause. If the patient has a tendency to any weakness, the neglect to eradicate the worms from the system must inevitably cause the emaciation of the whole body and a general breakdown of the whole organism. Comstock’s “Dead Shot” Worm Pellets are a purely vegetable preparation for the eradication of Worms in children and adults.
