The trouble with the Seafarers’ Union has been settled, and the Olympic has sailed for Now York after satisfactory boat drill. NEW TYPHOID VACCINE. PARIS, May 8. Professor Metchnikoff and Dr. Broughton-Alcott, in researches at the Pasteur Institute, ■ have discovered a new vaccine against typhoid. Excellent results are reported by the Academy of Sciences. (Received May 9, 1.20 p.m.l PARIS, May 8. Alcook, a Sydneyite, will give demonstrations of the now vaccine in London. It consist® of attenuated living typhoid bacilli. STOLEN JEWELSRECOVERED.
