(From Our Own Correspondent.) At the March meeting , of the Waitara Harbour Board a letter was reoeived’by the board, signed by representatives of the various shipping companies and other firms interested in shipping at Waitara, as to the unsatisfactory way in which the handling of cargo iq being carried on at Waitara. Th< senders of the letter were asked to fur* nisli tho board with specific charges, and at the April meeting a deputation representing tho various companies

waited on the board to lay before the board their specific charges. The board, after receiving the deputation, decided to set up a special committee to meet the shippers and investigate the matter. The meeting of this committee has been arranged to take place on Wednesday next.
