The Moa Road Board election took place at Inglewood on Saturday, seven candidates having been nominated tor the live places on the hoard rendered vic int by the retirement oi three members by rotation and the resignation of Messrs. R. T. Williams and -V M. Anderson. Messrs H. Trimble, A. E. Laurence, and J Williams, the retiring n embers, wort) all re-elected, Messrs. Mark Hopson and W. P. Bishop tilling tile other two places. The voting was as follows;—H. Trimble 228, A. E. Laurence 201, M. Hopson 188, J. Williams 177, AV. P. Bishop 112, James B. Gooperth 90, and C. Thorkleson 69; informal 1. Mr. AV. Ogier was the returning officer.
