At the Titanic inquiry Jewell, the look-out, testified that he received a telephone message from the bridge at 9.30 on Sunday night, instructing him to keep a sharp watch for ice. • Ho repeated the order to the relieving watch. Scarrott; a seaman, stated that it was difficult for the third-class passengers to reach tho boat-deck. Two ladders wore tho only moans of approach.
