AGAINST MIXED MARRIAGES.
By. Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. BERLIN, May 3. During a discussion on the Samoan estimates in the Reichstag, Dr. Soil reiterated his opposition to the marriages of natives and whites. The whole country would have to thank the Reichstag if it prevented mixed marriages. A GASOLENE EXPLOSION. NEW YORK, May 2. At Cleveland a huge quantity of gasolene on an oil barge exploded and burst into flames, which spread over the Guyahago River and completely destroyed the docks. The firemen were unable to approach the conflagration. Five men on board the barge were blown to pieces. A tug and other vessels were also burnt. PEARY’S COMPANION DEAD. NEW YORK. May 2.
