ARE THEY UNPOPULAR.
NEW ZEALANDERS IN AUSTRALIA
By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. (Received May 3, 8.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, May 3
Tho Sydney Morning Herald publishes the statement of a recently arrived Now Zealander that New ZeaJandcrs are disliked in Australia and were boycotted by employers. Against this it sets tho directly opposite opinion of three prominent representative New Zealanders resident in Sydney. Ono declares that tho statement is truly absurd. New Zealanders get along here bettor than Australians do in New Zealand. Another gentleman says that New Zealanders are generally in demand owing to their grit and initiative. Tho third says that Australians show a most cordial regard for their kith and kin from the Dominion.
All agree that they have never hoard any objection to New Zealanders simply because they wore Now Zealanders, and point to tho many prominent positiono that New Zealanders occupy.
