Tho directors announce the issuo of 1,160,000 preferred cumulative 5 per cent, shares to holders of preferred and deferred stock, in proportion to their holdings, at 110. The increased capital has no reference to any rumoured amalgamation, which is non-existent. So far as the company is aware, no suggestion for amalgamation had ever been made to the directors, who are working in perfect harmony with their competitors throughout the Far East.
