WEDDING.

HAWKEN—FOREMAN,

(From Our Tikorangi Correspondent.) April 22.—Last Wednesday, April 17, Bt. Luke’s Church, Tikorangi, was the scene of a very pretty wedding, when the marriage of Miss Kate Foreman, fonngest daughter of Mr. J. W. Forenan, and Mr. Ernest Hawken, of iVhangarei, was solemnised. The bride Aore a dainty ivory embroidered silk irock, with veil and orange blossoms, And carried a charming shower bouquet of maidenhair and asparagus fern, bauvardia, and white rosebuds. She was attended by three maids. One of these was Miss Winnie Hawken, the sister of the bridegroom, who wore a lovely white silk dress trimmed with handsome insertion, and a large white hat. She a,lso carried a bouquet of asparagus fern and white chrysanthemums. The others were two little nieces, Misses Alice Armstrong and Clarice Jury, who wore pretty white embroidered muslin dresses and Dolly Varden hats and carried dainty baskets of white chrysanthemums. The bouquets and baskets were the gift of Miss Clara Fanil. Air. L. Cook, of New Plymouth, attended the bridegroom as beet man. Tho church was prettily decorated for'tho wedding, Miss Foreman having been one who always gave great assistance in all church work After the ceremony the many friends and relations were entertained bv the bride’s parents in a large marquee which had been erected for the gathering. The happy couple left by the boat for Auckland where the honeymoon will be spent, the bndes travelling drees being a brown coat and skirt and large black hat with red berries Amongst the many and very beautiful presents were a rose bowl presented by the settlers of Waimauku, whore the bridegroom recently resided, A"'™ cruet from the scholars o. St Luke s Sunday School, of which Miss foreman pas a most popular toachor.
