Dr. Mawson’s r'essel, the Aurora, sails early in May to make a six weeks’ crujse in the sub-Antarctic, to carry out a senes of soundings and dredgings in the unknown seas between Tasmania and Antarctica, and the study of the currents and the drifts of icebergs. Mr. Edgar Waite, curator of the Canterbury Museum, Christchurch, accompanies the' expedition.
