The New Plymouth. Chib played a medal handicap for Mr. Bary's prize on the Ngaraotu links on Saturday afternoon, when there was the good entry of 31 players. The course was in good order and the weather ideal for the game, and some good scores were handed in. The three players who tied for first place will play off on a date to be arranged. The following were the six best scores:— A. Bewley 80 X 79 B. A. Gray 88 . 9 79 V. Elliott 90 11 79 H. H. Ward 83 2 81 K. Bain 101 20 81 A. H. Glasgow 88 6 82 To-morrow being St. George’s Day, the ladies have kindly postponed their match so that the men may take advantage of the holiday. Owing to the largely increased membership this season, members at Ngamotu are asked to observe the regulation with regards to visiting players. In the play-off on Saturday for second place in the Bogey Handicap of nine holes played on Easter Tuesday, A. H. Steeds, 3 up, defeated W. P. Nicoll, 1 up.
