A FATAL TORNADO. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. (Received April 15, 8.6 a.m.) NEW YORK, April 14. A tornado at New Caraorio, Missouri, levelled a number of houses. Several persons were killed. A BANKER ARRESTED. (Received April 16, 8.5 a.m.) OTTAWA, April 14. Dr. Beattie Nesbitt, ex-president of the Farmers’ Bank of Canada, which failed in 1911, has been arrested at Chicago and charged with having falsely represented the bank’s position. An investigation has disclosed alleged irregularities. A BANK HELD UP. OTTAWA, April 14. Three armed men held up a bank at Lamhy, British Columbia, and wounded the manager. The robbers have been caught. THE OCEANA COLLISION. BERLIN, April 14. Tho Hamburg-Maritime Court held an inquiry into the Ocoaua-Pisaqua collision, and adjudged that the Oceana contravened tho rules of the road. Tho .Pisagua was hold to be unblameable. SUFFRAGETTES RELEASED. . LONDON, April 13. Five suffragettes who adopted a hunger strike have been released on tho ground of impaired health. RAID ON FRENCH ROBBEBRS. PARIS, April 13. Tho police raided a house at Villenos-sur-Scine, and recovered many valuables stolen from museums, and a packet of letters referring to Leonard Avincis, stolon from Bajoconde. The owner of tho house, Ferrand, escaped by jumping from a window. A STUDENT KILLED. (Received April IS, 9.40 a.m.) PARIS, April 14. A Servian student with a revolver killed his fiancee in tho street and then fled on a bicycle. The police pursued; and exchanged shots with the student, who was killed.
