VICTORIA v. NEW SOUTH WALES. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. SYDNEY, April 9. At bowls Victoria beat New South Wales in two games. The third game had to be abandoned owing to ram. At Hawera on Saturday tho local club played Pihama Club m the semifinal of tho banner competition. An interesting match resulted in a win toy Hawera by the narrow margin of 5 points. The following are tho scores, Pihama names being mentioned first; —Pohe, Julian, Edwards, W. Lambio (sk.). 24; v. J. Hicks, Keen, Parringtou, J. Foy (sk.), 15. Baylis, Riley, R. Lambio, Mason (sk.), 13; v. G. Syme, Crabb, Curtis, R. Kicks (sk.), 24; v. Campbell, Harnip, Mach ray, Conaglon (sk*.), 15; v. Reilly, Barnett, Rev. Shore, W. Robertson (sk.), 18, Totals: Pihama 52, Hawera 57. Tho final will be played at Stratford between Hawera and New Plymouth, probably on Wednesday next. The following will represent Hawera:—J.
