Mr. J. B. Reid, of New Zealand, bought the Sant Ilario —Cryde gelding for 50gns. DEATH OF A JOCKEY. SYDNEY. April 9. The jockey Matthews, who fell with Bolton and Shanahan in the Nursery Handicap on Monday, died to-day front a fractured skull. Bolton has four ribs broken, and Shanahan has a badly injured leg.
