FIRES.
A TIMBER MILL BURNT. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, April 8. Nows had boon received that tho Northern Timber Company’s mill at Taupiri was burned to the ground on Sunday morning. A bucket brigade was formed hut could not suppress the outbreak. The papers and safes wore saved. It is believed that tho insurance amounted to about,£looo, but the loss probably, exceeds this amount. About 70 men will bo thrown out of work.
