WAREA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) April 3.—On Thursday last some members of the Glonfcrrio Tennis Club journeyed to Okato and '/ere defeated by tho Okato club by 26 to 1-1, which was not altogether unexpected. There is some talk of the Rahotu club coming to play the locals on Easter Monday, so tho local club has a chance of a win yet—perhaps. At a meeting of tho Ladies’ Guild on tho 2nd inst., tho date of the bazaar in aid of church building fund was fixed for May 29 and 30. So as to have all the details well in hand before tho bazaar, it was decided to ask tbo following ladies and gentlemen to undertake tho work in connection with the various stalls:—Sowing and fancy, No, 1, Mesdames Clothier, Rcvoll and C. Wells; ditto No. 2, Mesdames Millar and Parker; refreshment, Mrs. M. Hill, and tho Misses Corbett and Hill; fruit, etc., Moselnines Burgess, Barak am] Pelham, and 'Messrs. Burgess and Pelham; produce, Mesdames T. and E. Julian; sweets, Misses V, Clothier and I, Wells; Christmas tree, Mrs. S. Wells and the Misses Julian; bran tub, Misses Magon and D. Julian; fish pond, Messrs. R. Julian and W. Wilson; shooting gallery, Messrs. W. B. Clarke, T. Julian, sen., T. E. Larking and H. Pelham. As most of the above named were connected with the bazaar in aid of the local hall last winter, which proved such a success, I think it is quite, safe to predict that the forthcoming one will be just as good.
