STATEMENT BY FRENCH MINISTER, Bv Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. PARIS. Dec. 19. In the House of Deputies, in the course of the Moroccan debate, 31. Callaux declared that the possession of Algeria mode the occupation of Morocco necessary. Germany’s demand for compensation was natural. The cession of territory was a painful subject. Ho did not wish to depreciate the value of the ceded territories. However, France had secured more satisfactory conditions than England possessed in Egypt. The negotiations with Spain were delicate and presented insurmountable difficulties.
