A LIQUOR TRADE OPINION. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. SYDNEY, Deo. 17. Fair Play, tho liquor trade's journal, states it would be simply folly to attempt to discount the significance of the prohibition poll in New Zealand, and it remarks it is the most serious political event that has ever happened in these States. With the majority they appear to possess, continues the paper, the prohibitionists can coerce Parliament into doing what they please if they regard it as good for thorn. That these people will follow their advantage goes without saying. The whole civilised world watched with interest the working out of this .strange situation.
