PERSIAN AFFAIRS.

LORD LAMINGTON’S APPEAL. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. (Received Deo. 15, 9.45 a.m.) Lord Lariiington, on behalf of the Persia Committee, appeals to Britain to maintain her integrity and independence and not to allow Persia to fall into tlie plight of Bokhara and Khiva. He recalls the engagements of 1883 and the convention of 1907, when Britain’s acquiescence in Russia’s action raised a serious situation. National Honour and interests were both involved. The loss of Persian independence would produce a painful effect on the Mussulmans of India.
