RAPID BALLOON VOYAGE. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. (Received Nov. 16, 8.5 a.m.) ST. PETERSBURG, Nov. 15. The French aeronauts filename and Rumpelmabor attempted a balloon journey from Compiegne to St. Petersburg. A gale drove the balloon over the Baltic and forced them to land in Ccurland. They covered 1700 kilometres (1000 miles) in sixteen and a half hours. DARING AIRMAN KILLED. (Received Nov. 18, 10.20 a.m.) BERLIN, Nov. IS. Alfred Pietschker, Germany’s most daring airman, while monoplaning at Johannesthal, fell ninety feet and was killed.
