IN THE SOUTH SEAS. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. MELBOURNE, Sept. 6. Admiral King Hall announces that the warship Torch reported an active submerged volcano in latitude 20deg. oOmin. south, longitude 175de,g. 33min, west. The minimum depth of water is fifty fathoms. It is believed the volcano is on a submerged island near Tongatabu, sixty miles south-south-west of the Friendly Islands.
