At a meeting of the New Plymouth Defence Rifle Club on Friday night,, it was decided to hold a euchre party and dance at an early date. Messrs. Baldwin and Rayward, whoso local representative is Mr. Walter Bowley, Sharebroker, Egmont Street, report that amongst the many applications for patents they have just filed are:—F. Larcomb, Wellington, improvements in covers for pneumatic tyros; A. Sturrock, South Melbourne, improvements in or relating to wire bound boxes; J. R. Jones, Gisborne, an improved tumbler switch for meat rails and the like; Messrs. Caldwell, Lnngdon and Parkin, Christchurch, improved apparatus for soldering cans and the like.
