INGLEWOOD.

(Prom Our Own Correspondent.) March 23.—The following amounts have just been distributed by the Inglow'ood dairy companies for February but-ter-fat: Moa £3753, Maketawa £IO9O, Tariki £982, Tarata £346, Lcpporton £683. Tho payments compare very favourably with those for the corresponding period last year. A special meeting of tho congregation of Knox Church, Inglewood, was held on Monday evening, when it was resolved to leave tho appointment of a successor to the Rev. D. J. Albert in the hands of the moderator (Rev. S. S. Osborne). A niotiou was unanimously carried regretting Mr. Osborne’s early retirement from St. Andrew’s, and expressing gratitude for his constant interest in the Inglewood station. Good headway is being made with the erection of the new Catholic .presbytery. The building is well designed, and when completed should prove a handsome addition to Inglewood architecture.
