Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report: —At our sale at Palmerston N. on Thursday, the sth inst., wo had a fair yarding of sheep ami heavy yarding of cattle. Sheep were rather dull of sale, owners’ reserves in most cases being too high, but wo managed to quit the majority at satisfactory prices. Cattle were in good demand, very little being passed in. We quote:—Sheen: Aged ewes 8s 3d, lambs 8s 6d, 2-tootn wethers I2s fid; cattle: Forward bullocks £7 6s 6d, store bullocks £4 IGs to £5 13s, 2-year steers £3 11s to £3 12s fid. fat cows £5 12e Gd to £6 15s, forward cows £3 14s to £4 7s, store cows £2 Ids to £3 He, 18-month heifers £3 os, 2year heifers £3 15s, springing heifers £4 11a, springing rows £6 to £B, hulls £2 15s to £5, weaners 25s to £2 Is.
