PETER BOWLING. Per T-'ross Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 4. As an outcome of an address given by Mr. Peter Bowling here ou .Sunday night last, a meeting of workers was held to-night to discuss the desirableness of Mr. Bowling’s services being retained to organise -the Labour Party of the Dominion, and to heal tbe breach existing in the ranks of local Labourites. About seventy or eighty were present, and after a lengthy discussion, it was revived. “That this meeting invites the New Zealand Federation of Labour to retain the services of Mr. Peter Bowling for a further term of eight weeks, and pledges itself to support it to the best of its ability, botli financially and otherwise to organise on the lines of his address on Sunday evening.” SHIPMENTS OF BULLION. The value of the gold and silver shipped from New Zealand for the voar 1910 was £1,896,318 and £171,562, as against £2,000,90Q and £180,872 for 1009, decreases of £110,582 and £9310 respectively.
