THE SOLOMONS.

NATIVE TEACHERS KILLED. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. BRISBANE, Jan. 4. Dr. Deck, a missionary from the Solomons, reports that four months ago, in retspon.se to a request from tho Rennell islanders, he established a school, and three native Malaiti teachers were sent to the island. Two days later the three teachers were killed. Dr. Dock declares that the natives had no grudge against the mission, and the loyal chief had nothing to do with the murders, which were committed by three men for the sake of the niittdoners’ axes and other belongings. On the next visit of the mission vessel tho islanders wore quite friendly.
