A COUNCILLOR TO RESIGN. Fer Fress nsauc/atiou. NELSON ,Jan. 3. Councillor Field, manager of AA'ilkins and Field, hardware contractors to the council, will probably bo compelled to resign under t'ho new Municipalities Act. The contract expires at tho end of March. There is some local comment its to why existing annual contracts were not exempted under tho Act as heretofore.
