TARANAKI COMPANY,
From December 1 to yesterday there were 469 visitors to the works of the Taranaki Petroleum Company. The directors have made arrangements for ?meri to be in attendance on Monday so that people attending the Seaside Picnic at tho breakwater will be able to visit the works and have everything explained to them. Operations will be resumed on Wednesday. Mr. G. H. F. Rollcston, representative of the British Board of . Trade in New Zealand, will visit the works early in tho New Year before leaving for England. Dr. Wanner, the petroleum geologist, left Gisborne on Monday, with Mr. W. E. Akroyd and Mr. 0. Taylor, to inspect the oil prospects of the Waiapu district. Dr. Wanner is expected to return tq New Plymouth in a few days to make a further inspection here.
