THE MATINEE HAT.
END OF THE ADVERTISEMENT. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. (Received Oct. 25, 10,50 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 24. In the action brought against F. Curzon, theatrical manager, the judge decided that ho had agreed to pay the Danns for their services, but dismissed the case on the ground that an agreement to work up an advertisement in the manner already cabled was illegal and against public policy. [A Mrs, Bardlcy brought an action for damages against Curzon, who turned her out of bis theatre for wearing a large bat which she refused to remove. Mrs.' Eardlcy lost her case. An action was then brought by Mr. and Mrs. Dann, who stated that they had stage managed the incident, claiming £l5O, including Mrs. Eardley’s foes, on the ground that Curzon had agreed with them to secure him a big advertisement.]
