ST. ANDREW’S BAZAAR. ’ (From Our Own Correspondent.) Oct. 21.—The much-talked-of bazaar in connection with St. Andrew’s Church was opened yesterday afternoon in splendid weather. Tho bazaar was well attended both in the afternoon o,nd evening, and quite a large proportion of the varied articles offered was converted into hard cash. The display on the stalls was more than creditable to the ladies of tho church, while the artistic arrangement was all that the eye could desire. f During the evening selections were, rendered by the Cottier family and by the Inglewood Band. Misses M'Beth and Stevens gave a display of fancy dancing, while Mrs. Richardson turned up as tho winner of a spelling bee. A gipsy fortune-teller more than satisfied lovers of the mysterious. The following is a list of the stall-holders: —Sweet stall, Misses H. Drake and D. Newland; mystery stall, Misses Rattigan, May Winfield and Gladys Bennett; plain work, Mesdames Surrey and Herman and Miss Lightfoot; fancy work, Mesdames C. 0. Roberts and F. C. Bennett and Miss L. Minchin; shilling stall, Mrs. Rogers and Miss Hasolden ; produce stall, Mrs. Jacomb and Miss C. Hamerton; Christmas tree, Mesdames Phillips, Martin, Bailey and Henderson; button-holes, Miss Loma Williams; judge of spelling, Mr. H. A. Stratford; supper, Mesdames J. Winfield, Gernhoefor, F. H. Brown and Miss Hamerton. I understand that the bazaar will result in a considerable accession to the church funds.' The main attraction for the concluding night (to-morrow) wall he an exhibition of Mrs. Jarley’s waxworks.
