RAHOTU.
Some time ago the Anglicans bought the Masonic buildings lor a church, The.v have paid off something like £CO by subscriptions,- and now intend to hold a bazaar in April to pay off the balance, which put me much in mind of once hearing a parson say, “Dear friends, as wo have failed to got money honestly, let us see what a bazaar will do for us.” I regret to record the death of Mrs. Stonex of Kahui Hoad. The deceased has been in very indifferent health for some time, hut it was only a few days . previous to her death that her condition became more serious, and she passed away on Sunday evening. Mrs. Stonex’s people reside at Waiapu, and the body will be interred there.
